Skoda has silently updated the feature list of the Rapid sedan. The top-end Style variant now comes with 16-inch alloy wheels and a reverse camera whose output is streamed on to the infotainment system's head unit.

The aforementioned feature additions have been made to the diesel as well as petrol models. Skoda hasn't updated the feature list on its official website. However, media reports suggest that the updated models have started reaching dealerships and the deliveries have already commenced. It is also being reported that the updated Style variants get a price hike of around Rs. 35,000.

The Rapid was given a mid-life facelift in November 2016. It is available with two engine options - a petrol and a diesel. The 1.6-litre MPI petrol engine is rated at 103 BHP and 153 Nm, and is available with two transmission options - a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed Tiptronic. The diesel is a 1.5-litre TDI unit that churns out 108 BHP and 250 Nm of torque, while being mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG.
