SIAM appoints Shailesh Chandra as its new president

Chandra succeeds Vinod Aggarwal, MD and CEO of Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles Ltd.

Tata Motors, MD, Shailesh Chandra, has been elected as the new President of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) for 2024-25.

Chandra has been elevated to the role of President after serving as the Vice President of SIAM. He succeeds Vinod Aggarwal, MD and CEO of Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles Ltd.

Shenu Agarwal, MD and CEO of Ashok Leyland Ltd. has been elected as the Vice President of SIAM, while Satyakam Arya, CEO and MD of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, has been named the Treasurer for 2024-25.

The elections were held during the recently concluded Executive Committee Meeting of SIAM.
