Maruti Suzuki is rumoured to launch the Baleno facelift on January 29, 2019. Here are all the changes that have been made to the hatchback.

On the outside, the updated Baleno is expected to get a new front bumper with a wide air dam and redesigned fog lamp pods. The grille features a 3D mesh design and has a chrome strip on the lower edge. The car comes with LED projector headlamps and will be offered with precision cut alloy wheels.

Moving to the inside, the new Baleno is likely to get dual-tone upholstery in black and blue. The SmartPlay infotainment system has been updated and so is the centre console. According to the Nexa app, the Baleno will be offered in 6 colour options - Nexa Blue, Metallic Premium Silver, Premium Autumn Orange, Pearl Arctic White, Metallic Magma Grey and Pearl Phoenix Red.

The new model is likely to use the same set of engines as the outgoing Baleno. Its 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol unit puts out 83 BHP and 115 Nm of torque, while the 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine makes 74 BHP and 190 Nm of peak torque. The 5-speed manual gearbox and CVT are likely to be retained as well.
