SCOOP! DC Avanti caught undisguised

Production version of India's very own supercar has finally been caught undisguised and looks very similar to the original concept.

The DC Avanti is a two-door, mid-engined supercar powered by a 2 litre Ford EcoBoost motor producing 240 bhp @ 5,500 RPM and 366 Nm of torque at 3,500 RPM. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels by a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Avanti was first unveiled at the Auto Expo 2012 by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.

It definitely looks like a supercar with its low stance, flowing lines and big wheels. The paint job makes the car look very appealing and the contrast roof combo adds to the cars sporty characteristic. The tail lamps seem to be full LED and so do the front projector headlights. The car also seems to sport a glass engine cover showcasing the heart of the Avanti.

With the Avanti, DC strives to give customers a supercar at an 'affordable' price. Displayed at an expected price of Rs.25-30 lakh in 2012, prices are only likely to go northwards in 2014.

Bookings for this car had begun in 2012 and customers were promised deliveries in 2013. However, over 2.5 years and several spy-shots later, the final production version is caught on camera by a cartoq reader.
