Scale model reveals Volvo V90's design

Volvo's rival to the Jaguar XF and Mercedes E-Class had its design revealed after an official scale model was snapped earlier this year. It looks like the S90's estate counterpart has faced the same fate and courtesy carnewschina, we now have a look at the Volvo V90's design.

As expected, the V90 gets the same Thor's hammer headlight cluster as the XC90 and S90. Other styling cues include a long bonnet, a large sunroof that covers the 1st and 2nd row of seats, silver roof rails like the XC90, door mounted wing mirrors, dual chrome lipped tail pipes and large tail lights that run across the tailgate and D-pillars. The interior layout will be the same as we have seen in the S90's spy shots.

While we can expect Volvo to launch the S90 in India, it remains to be seen if they're willing to take a gamble by launching its estate version. The most recent arrival in the premium estate car market was the high-performance Audi RS6 Avant.
