Rumour: VW Tiguan AllSpace India launch in 2020

According to a media report, Volkswagen is planning to launch the Tiguan AllSpace in India sometime next year.

The AllSpace is a long wheelbase version of the Tiguan and is expected to be offered in a 7 seat configuration. Compared to the regular Tiguan, the AllSpace measures 4,701 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,787 mm.

The report states that Volkswagen is likely to offer the Tiguan AllSpace with a 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. However, it may not get all-wheel drive.

In India, the Tiguan AllSpace is expected to compete with SUVs like the Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and the Mahindra Alturas G4.
