Rumour: Toyota Vellfire launch in October 2019

According to a media report, the Toyota Vellfire MPV could be launched in October 2019. It is likely to be imported as a completely built unit (CBU).

Earlier this month, the Vellfire was showcased in India at a private event. It features a split headlamp setup with integrated LED daytime running lights, a large chrome grille and triangular fog lamp pods.

On the inside, the MPV is likely to be offered in a 6-seat configuration with ventilated and heated seats with memory and reclining function. It has power side and rear doors, twin moonroof, automatic climate control and a touchscreen infotainment system among other features.

In India, the Vellfire could be offered with a 2.5-litre, petrol hybrid paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and E-Four 4WD system.

The Toyota Vellfire is expected to compete with the Mercedes-Benz V Class in the Indian market.
