Rumour: Maruti Baleno RS Facelift to cost Rs. 8.76 lakh

Maruti Suzuki has released an image of the updated Baleno RS on its website. Like the standard Baleno, the new RS version gets cosmetic updates. According to a media report, it could be priced at Rs. 8.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new Baleno RS gets a redesigned grille with a chrome strip and projector headlamps with DRLs. The car gets a new front bumper with a wide air dam which has a hexagonal mesh design and a bar finished in piano black. The RS also gets a chin spoiler and side skirts with a gunmetal finish. The hatchback comes with blacked out A and B-pillars and ORVMs with integrated turn signals.

On the inside, the Baleno RS could receive minor changes including an updated touchscreen infotainment system.

Mechanically, the new Baleno RS is likely to be identical to the outgoing model. It is expected to be powered by the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which produces 101 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 150 Nm @ 1,700-4,500 rpm. It could be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission.
