Rumour: Mahindra to launch XUV500 G9 petrol AT variant soon

Mahindra is planning to introduce a new petrol variant of the XUV500. According to a media report, the company is likely to call it the G9.

The XUV500 G9 petrol is expected to be equipped with two airbags, a touchscreen infotainment system and fabric seats. The report suggests that this variant might not get alloy wheels.

The XUV500 G9 will likely be powered by a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that is expected to develop 140 BHP and 320 Nm. Initially, it will come with a 6-speed automatic transmission. A manual version might be introduced at a later date.
