Mahindra changing oil filters of Scorpio

Mahindra is rumoured to be changing the oil filters on the Scorpio SUV. The company has not made an official announcement regarding the issue.

Owners are receiving calls from the company asking them to get their vehicles to the nearest service centre for a "free upgrade" of the oil filter. shailendrars was told by the service engineer that the oil filter is being replaced due to a faulty O-Ring. A defective O-Ring can lead to leaks.    

The oil filter is a device which keeps dust and other contaminants in the engine oil from entering the engine and causing damage.
