Rumour: Limited batch of Triumph Bonneville recalled in India

If media reports are to be believed, Triumph appears to be recalling a certain set of motorcycles of its Bonneville range in India. The said recall is over a faulty fuel pump sub-harness. The company has reportedly identified the set of bikes affected by this faulty part and is currently in the process of contacting the owners to inform them of the recall.

Triumph will be replacing the faulty fuel pump sub-harness on the identified bikes free of charge. The company claims that the recall is part of a global preventive part replacement drive. Owners are reportedly being advised not to ride their affected bikes till the faulty part is replaced.

The Bonneville range of bikes is Triumph's highest selling brand. In India, the Bonneville series includes the Street Twin, Bonneville T120, Bonneville T100 and the Thruxton R. Cumulatively, this modern classics range of bikes amount to around one-third of the company's total sales in the country.
