According to a media report, Jeep will no longer offer the Compass in Sport Petrol MT trim. That leaves Compass Sport customers with Petrol DCT and Diesel MT options.
The Sport Petrol MT was the entry-level version of the Compass. It was priced at Rs 21.09 lakh (ex-showroom) and came equipped with an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as automatic climate control and keyless entry.
The Compass Sport Petrol MT is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine that puts out 156 BHP and 250 Nm. With the 6-speed manual transmission now discontinued, the base Compass Petrol is only available with the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
The SUV is also available with a 2.0-litre diesel engine that makes 168 BHP and 350 Nm. It comes with an optional 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
