Rumour: Isuzu V-Cross & Hi-Lander launch on May 8

The V-Cross will be offered in two trims - Z and Z Prestige, with 2WD and 4WD respectively.

Isuzu has teased the upcoming V-Cross and Hi-Lander on its official Facebook page. According to some dealers, the tentative launch date is May 8, 2021.

Isuzu plans to introduce two variants of the D-Max which include the familiar V-Cross and a new base-spec Hi-Lander.

As per a leaked document, the V-Cross will be offered in two trims - Z and Z Prestige, with 2WD and 4WD respectively.

The pick-up truck will be powered by a 1.9-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that puts out 161 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and 360 Nm @ 2,000-2,500 rpm. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The four-wheel-drive version will get a shift-on-the-fly system with a high torque mode.

The Hi-Lander will essentially be a slightly premium version of the D-Max S-Cab with 225 mm of ground clearance, steel wheels and no speed limiter.
