Rumour: India-spec VW T-Roc variant details

The Volkswagen T-Roc was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. According to a media report, the SUV will be offered in a single, fully-loaded trim in India.

In India, the T-Roc is expected to get features such as full-LED headlights and tail lamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, digital instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit, panoramic sunroof and leather seats. The SUV is expected to be equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, tyre pressure monitoring system and parking camera.

The T-Roc is based on the MQB platform. It will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU). In India, the SUV is likely to be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 148 BHP and 340 Nm, which could be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
