Rumour: Hyundai to launch N Performance brand in India

According to a media report, Hyundai is likely to launch its N performance brand in India. The carmaker might showcase its N range at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo.

Reports suggest that Hyundai has already carried out market research for the N performance cars in India and is said to have received a positive response. The N brand would be targeted at younger buyers and may not be sold through Hyundai's regular retail channel.

The N brand includes models like the Hyundai i30 N, i30 Fastback N and Veloster N that are standalone performance cars with engines developed specifically for these models. The N Line products are based on stock cars that get minor styling and performance enhancements. These include the i30 N Line, i30 Fastback N Line and Tucson N Line. Besides these, Hyundai is rumoured to be working on an N version of the i20 and N Line versions of the Kona and Creta.
