Rumour: Hyundai Creta facelift bookings open

The Hyundai Creta facelift is expected to be launched later this month, but according to a media report, authorized dealers have already started accepting bookings for a token amount of Rs. 25,000. Deliveries are expected to commence in June 2018.

Recent spy image images have already revealed the Creta's updated front fascia. The compact SUV gets a new trapezoidal grille in the front flanked by new headlamp clusters with LED DRLs. The front bumper has been tweaked and now comes with a revised air dam and silver trim as well as new fog lamp pods. The new Creta is likely to be offered with optional dual-tone exteriors and new design alloy wheels. An optional sunroof is also likely to be offered on select variants. Besides this, the new Creta might receive minor updates to its interiors as well.

The Creta facelift is expected to get the same engines as its predecessor, which include a 123 BHP 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder petrol, 89 BHP 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder diesel and a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder diesel with 126 BHP of peak power. These are likely to be paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

Hyundai is yet to officially announce the launch date of the Creta facelift.
