Rumour: EcoSport with 1.5L Dragon engine launching on Sep 15

Recently, the Ford EcoSport facelift was spotted completely undisguised. Media reports suggest that Ford might launch the car on September 15, 2017.

Ford has given the EcoSport a tweaked front end with a new hexagonal grille being the most prominent change. The chrome-lined grille is flanked by redesigned headlights with projectors and LED daytime-running lights. The front bumper has also been reshaped to integrate fog lamps and a scuff plate. Changes to the rear end will probably include new tail lamp clusters. The tailgate-mounted spare wheel will be retained.

On the inside, the EcoSport is expected to get a revised infotainment system comprising of an 8-inch SYNC 3 touchscreen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

While Ford is yet to confirm the engines that will be offered on the EcoSport facelift, it is rumoured that the car will come with a Dragon 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder petrol unit developing between 123 and 128 BHP. The automatic variant could get paddle shifters.
