According to a media report, Maruti Suzuki is likely to launch the Ignis facelift in the coming months. The car is expected to get a BS-VI compliant engine and updated exterior.
Reports suggest that the Ignis facelift could get a new grille with U-shaped design elements similar to the Vitara Brezza. It is likely to get a redesigned front bumper with an integrated skid plate and minor tweaks to the rear.
At the moment, the Maruti Ignis is offered with a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 82 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque @ 4,200 rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
The updated Ignis will be sold through Maruti's Nexa retail outlets.
