Need some advice people.
I am looking for a used car in good condition, and somehow couldn't seem to like cars apart from Å koda-Volkswagen, came across this Polo GT, November 2020 registered and has done 30k kilometers. The condition of the car is pristine with no damages or scratches, the interiors are good too.
Have checked the car history. It has been regularly serviced and maintained at a VW dealer, with one new tyre and new brake pads, the car drives well too. It is under warranty as well. The owner has installed the original armrest and reverse camera and has a service package purchased too.
The car is at a Volkswagen dealer only, they are asking 9 lakhs for it after negotiations. The car was I think around 12 lakhs when new.
So what's your suggestion, is it a good decision to buy a Polo now?
Here's what BHPian Gotham had to say about the matter:
Considering the conditions & the running warranty, it's a fair price. Current used market prices are insane and even more insane to find a clear car. I think you should grab it before someone else does. Do check if the dealer can help you get an additional extended warranty assuming this is an AT & not a manual GT.
Here's what BHPian bijims had to say about the matter:
9 lakhs for a 30,000 km run Polo GT TSI, with new tires, brake pads, reverse camera, armrest, and service package seems to be a fair deal, considering the car cost 12 lakhs in 2020-21 and you are purchasing it from the dealer.
Here's what BHPian anoopvk268 had to say about the matter:
Is it the TC gearbox or DSG?
If it's a TC would say go ahead and buy it. I recently bought a 2021 Polo (TC) and it's been a pleasure to drive the car so far. My positives and negatives so far.
Positives
- Will always put a smile on your face when you are driving.
- Well-sorted driving dynamics. I don't think any other car under 20L matches Polo/Vento/Rapid in terms of the driving dynamics. Not even new Virtus/Slavia.
- Aggressive creep makes driving in the city a breeze.
- Well-sorted highway manners.
Negatives
- Space, I am a 6-foot guy, and there isn't enough space in the back when I drive the car
- Though its a 5 seater, fitting more than two people in the rear will not be comfortable
- Not a family car, it's purely a driver's car.
