Royal Enfield Despatch motorcycles sold out in 26 minutes

Royal Enfield started accepting online bookings for the Despatch motorcycles on July 15. The entire inventory of 200 units is reported to have been sold out within 26 minutes of the bookings opening.

The Despatch edition is available in two colour variants - Desert Storm Despatch and Squadron Blue Despatch. Both come with a camouflage pattern and embossed hallmark showing the particulars of its manufacture. Only 100 units of each colour were available for sale in India.

Each Royal Enfield Despatch comes with leather seats and a leather buckle strap to hold the air filter box. The engine, silencer and exhaust of the Despatch edition is painted matte black.

The Despatch is powered by a 499cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine that produces 27.2 BHP @ 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of torque @ 4,000 rpm. It has a 5-speed gearbox.

The Royal Enfield Despatch is priced at Rs. 2.25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
