Nissan has confirmed a new compact MPV for the Indian market, which will be launched later this year. It will be based on the CMF-A platform, which also underpins the Renault Triber.
The carmaker has also shared a teaser image of the new MPV. It will feature a bold design with a large hexagonal grille in the front, sweptback headlamps and a chunky front bumper with C-shaped silver inserts.
The overall shape of the new MPV will be similar to the Triber. The sub-4 meter model will have 3 rows of seats with dual-tone upholstery and will be equipped with features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument console, a wireless charger, and 2nd-row seats with slide and recline functions.
The new Nissan MPV will be offered with the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine as the Triber. It produces 71 BHP and 96 Nm and is paired with either a 5-speed manual or AMT.
