Renault Grande Modus Caught Testing

The Renault Grande Modus has been caught testing on Indian roads several times since September 2011. The Modus has been spotted in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra.

This is the face-lifted Grande Modus that will compete with B2 segment tall-boys like the Maruti Ritz and the Hyundai i10. Internationally, the car has a length of 4034 mm, but if launched in India, it will surely be trimmed to a sub-4 meter length to avail of lower excise duties. Speculative reports indicate customer deliveries as early as 2013.

The car is based on the same B-Platform as the Mahindra / Renault Logan. Engine options will include the Micra's 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol and 1.5L diesel. Thanks to BHPians JRAJE, VeeTee, para_7k, Manson, //M, Abhiranjan and rocksterraghu for the scoop pictures.
