Remaining Top Gear UK episodes to be aired this year

Fans were left terribly disappointed this year, when series 22 of Top Gear UK came to an abrupt end. The show was taken off the air after an altercation between Jeremy Clarkson producer Oisin Tymon led to Clarkson’s suspension. Co-presenters James May and Richard Hammond refused to continue to shooting, which stopped the remaining episodes from being aired. It has now been confirmed that three remaining episodes will be aired this year.

The footage aired will not include any studio shots as the studio section was not recorded before the presenters separated from the show. Kim Shillinglaw, head of BBC Two confirmed that the remaining episodes would be aired and that the show would return in a new format next year. She even stated that Clarkson would be back at the BBC, though he is unlikely feature on Top Gear. Shillinglaw declined to comment on if Hammond or May would return to the show in the new format.
