Refreshed Honda Amaze spied; possible launch on March 3

Honda is reported to be gearing up to give the Amaze compact sedan a facelift. The car is expected to get cosmetic tweaks to its exteriors as well as its interiors.

A spy image of the vehicle reveals that it gets a new grille with a lot of chrome and a new front bumper. Honda is expected to give the car a tweaked rear bumper as well.

While nothing is clear at the moment, it is likely that the Amaze will receive reworked interiors as well. In January 2016, Honda gave the Mobilio MPV a new dashboard in Indonesia. A similar dashboard could be used in the Amaze. The car could even receive updated infotainment and climate control systems. Safety features such as ABS+EBD and airbags are likely to be offered on all variants of the car.

The refreshed Amaze is not expected to receive any mechanical changes. It will continue to use the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines as the current model. The 5-speed manual and automatic transmissions will be carried over as well.

Honda is expected to launch the facelifted Amaze on March 3, 2016.
