Pleasant experience getting my work done at the KA-03 Bangalore RTO

Initially, I thought of involving some RTO agent but decided to give it a try myself and I was surprised by the smooth experience.

BHPian Legender recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

I had a pleasant experience at the Kasturi Nagar RTO Bangalore (KA03) this morning. I had two issues: the phone number associated with my vehicle on the Vahan website was wrong and since there was a mismatch of name between Aadhaar and Vahan (because of initials expanded), updation of the phone number had to be done at the RTO and not online. The second issue was to get the hypothecation removed from my RC.

I asked some random counter on the first floor and the officer there directed me to the second floor. To modify the phone number, I was asked to write an application on a white paper and pay a fee of INR 10/-. Submitted the form along with the receipt and it was done.

Then I asked about hypothecation removal and a very helpful lady officer asked me to provide the NOC, and Form 35 (both of which I had got from the lease provider) along with the original RC and a copy of the pollution certificate and insurance. I had to go to the fee counter and pay INR 462/- and submit the docs along with the receipt at another counter.

I was provided a receipt and the officer mentioned that I would receive the updated RC within 30 days. That was it! Once I reached home, the Vahan website showed that the request was in process, hopefully, I would get the new RC soon.

Initially, I was thinking of involving some agent but decided to give it a try once and I was pleasantly surprised about the smooth experience.

Kudos to the RTO folks!
