Ola's made-in-India Electric scooter revealed

Ola is constructing the world's biggest 2-wheeler factory in Tamil Nadu.

Ola has revealed its electric scooter for the Indian market.

The Ola electric scooter looks identical to the Etergo Appscooter. The images released by the company feature a stylish scooter finished in matte black. It has an LED headlamp and slim LED turn indicators. Note how the rear footrests are neatly integrated into the bodywork.

The Appscooter measures 1,860 mm in length, 700 mm in width, 1,155 mm in height and its wheelbase is 1,345 mm. It uses a 6 kW electric motor which is powered by a swappable battery that is said to offer a maximum range of 240 km. The scooter can accelerate from 0-45 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

Ola is constructing the world's biggest 2-wheeler factory in Tamil Nadu. Spread over 500 acres, it will have an initial capacity of 2 million units per year in the Phase 1 alone.

It will become the global manufacturing hub for Ola's range of electric scooters and 2-wheelers and besides India, it will serve international markets including Europe, UK, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Australia and New Zealand.
