Octavia's digital cluster lit up like Christmas tree; Fixed in 4 hours

Skoda has a company-approved process to join the ABS cable with connectors, costing under Rs 3,000

Unscheduled pit stop to the service centre!

Last morning when I started the car, the instrument console lit up like a Christmas tree

The car was driveable, but many functions including the backup camera, hill hold etc were not working, I was hoping this was a minor connector issue, so I made an appointment and visited the Tafe Access Mangalore service centre, 30-minute later, the SA gave me an update that the ABS connector has been chewed upon.

Luckily Skoda has a company-approved process to join the ABS cable with connectors, the technician quickly began joining the spliced cable with connectors and removed the error codes, the car looks to be back to normal as of now, I hope this fix is as good as a new harness When questioned about replacing the cable, SA told me that it is a complex process that needs the removal of multiple interior and exterior panels, he confirmed this fix is Skoda approved, Total cost came up to INR 2808/-

I missed clicking pictures after connectors were put together before the insulation was applied, overall quite happy with Tafe Mangalore and surprised it was all done in a span of 3.5 hours!
