No complaints with my Bajaj Pulsar F 250 in over 2.5 years of ownership

The fuel efficiency is better than I had anticipated and the total cost of ownership is also pretty good as compared to the Yamaha FZ and Suzuki Gixxer 250s.

BHPian abusyms recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

I bought the Pulsar F250 in January 2022, just a month after its deliveries started. I did take a test drive of the bike at the dealership before making the purchase. I was also intrigued by its looks and styling, especially the LED setup and the semi-digital cluster, as I get a thrill from seeing an actual needle rev up the RPM meter. I have been using the bike for my daily commute on non-rainy days and have taken a couple of short rides with it (approx 200kms) on the outskirts of Pune on rainy days.

There are a few snags here and there, like on occasions the rear disc makes a friction sound at the start of the ride but then settles in. This is also not a regular occurrence.

But apart from that I really have no complains. For a 250 cc engine, power is really good and the mileage is much better than anticipated, 39kpl - 40kpl in moderate traffic and 47kpl on highway drive (MID figures), where my average cruising speed was 90kmph. The ride is comfortable, the sitting posture is really good. I was really attracted by the sporty riding position of the Gixxer 250 but only after half an hour's ride in the city traffic was really bad on the back.

The stability is also good on the highway and winding roads, I just would've been more confident in riding if it had dual-channel ABS instead of single-channel. Bajaj was planning to offer dual-channel ABS in the newer versions of the F250 but not sure of its implementation.

The total cost of ownership is also pretty good as compared to the FZ and Gixxer 250s and Bajaj parts being domestically produced are much more affordable than the other brands.

That being said I would highly recommend this bike, but please have a proper test ride before you make the purchase.
