Next-gen Skoda Octavia to be unveiled on November 11, 2019

According to media reports, Skoda is likely to unveil the next-generation Octavia on November 11, 2019. The car is expected to go on sale in India sometime next year.

The new Octavia will be based on Volkswagen's MQB platform. It is expected to get a redesigned exterior featuring a new grille and headlamps and revised tail lamp clusters.

The car is also likely to get a reworked interior with a floating touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. The car could get a 3-spoke or 2-spoke steering wheel depending on the trim.

In the international markets, the new Octavia is expected to be offered with 1.0-litre, 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engines and a 2.0-litre diesel unit. A plug-in hybrid version is also reportedly in the works.
