While responding to a tweet, Zac Hollis - Director, Sales and Marketing, Skoda India, has revealed that the next generation Octavia will be launched in a couple of months.
The new Octavia has already been spotted testing in India. The car gets a redesigned front and rear fascia with the Skoda lettering on the boot lid and Rotare Aero alloy wheels.
In the international market, the new Octavia comes with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The car is offered with a 2-spoke multi-function steering wheel, while a 3-spoke wheel is available as an option. Skoda has also replaced the traditional gear lever with a switch.
In India, customers are likely to get a choice of two turbo petrol engines. These include a 1.5-litre TSI paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 2.0-litre TSI which could be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
