Next-gen KTM RC 390 spotted testing

The next-generation KTM RC 390 has been spotted testing in Austria sporting new bodywork. It is expected to be showcased at the 2019 EICMA.

The test bike has a redesigned fairing and headlamp cluster, which appears to house a halogen dummy light. The turn signals are integrated into the fairing itself. The bike has a stepped seat and the handle bars seem to have been repositioned for a more relaxed riding position.

Reports suggest that the new RC 390 may get a new chassis. It has upside down fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The test bike is equipped with disc brakes at the front and the rear and it has a single side-mounted exhaust.

At present, the RC 390 is powered by a 373.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 42 BHP and 35 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission via a slipper clutch. The new model is expected to get a BS-VI compliant engine.
