Next-gen Fiat Punto spied with automatic gearbox, ESP

The next-generation Fiat Punto was recently caught testing in Brazil. While those images showed the heavily camouflaged test mule from the outside, a new set of spy shots show the car's interior. Apart from giving us a glimpse of the design, the car also has a tiptronic automatic transmission and paddle shifters.

The spy shots also reveal that the car gets ESP, an engine start / stop system and what appears to be a manual HVAC unit. The steering wheel is similar to what is seen in the Aegea, with mounted buttons for the infotainment system and cruise control as well.

Technical details remain unconfirmed for now, but options could include a range of 1.4L - 1.8L engines. The car is expected to make its debut in 2017.
