New-gen Skoda Kodiaq to be launched on April 17

The new Kodiaq will be offered in two variants: Sportline and the top-spec Laurin & Klement (L&K).

Skoda is gearing up to launch the second-generation Kodiaq in India. It has now been confirmed that the prices will be announced on April 17.

In India, the new Kodiaq will be offered in two variants: Sportline and the top-spec Laurin & Klement (L&K). The SUV is based on the MQB platform and is slightly larger than the outgoing model. It features a revised front grille, a split headlamp setup with L-shaped LED DRLs and a new bumper.

The Kodiaq gets a redesigned rear fascia comprising C-shaped taillights connected by an LED light bar. The Sportline variant gets a blacked-out grille, black badges and sporty alloy wheels, while the L&K trim has chrome inserts on the grille, silver badges and matching exterior trim. It also gets a brown leather interior and unique alloy wheels.

Inside, the new Kodiaq comes with the brand’s latest 2-spoke steering wheel and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster. A large 13-inch floating touchscreen sits in the centre. Other features include 3-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats with massage function (L&K trim), a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera and park assist.

In India, the Kodiaq will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 201 BHP and 320 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG and an all-wheel drive system.
