My Royal Enfield Interceptor 650: 26,000 update

A Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 owner shares his experience of owning the motorcycle for five years and the update of the latest service at 26,000km

BHPian surjaonwheelz recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

Five years of pure motorcycling! Last month Spitfire, my Interceptor 650 completed 5 years and 26,000 kms with me.

One with the steed!

A quick ride to Wai with bhpian Waspune

Re-visit to Pawna lake with bhpian Nilesh5417 and Waspune.

Annual service was due and I got it serviced at Pitlane, Pune. I tend to prepare notes prior to dropping the bike for service. I prefer weekdays for a service. The mechanics are much relaxed and can work on your bike at ease.

The front brake pads were changed with RE brake pads, these are the 3rd set. Rear brake pads are still stock. Both the brake fluids were bleeded with fresh fluid (DOT 4). The chain set still has 2 more adjustments left hence was not changed. All other checks including valve clearance (no-noise) and rear swing-arm (no-play) were found ok!

I continued with Motul 7100 as in the last year for 5,800 kms it served me well. They have started providing Silkolene oils, I might try it once!

I've been visiting this FNG regularly and hence didn't stay back for the service and don't have the detailed pics to share. The bike was ready by evening.

A short ride with Jomson13 and Nilesh5417 to Veer dam. Ricci, nav75 and sukiwa were also with us but were either too fast or too slow to be included in the group pic at this spot!

Reached the 26,000 km milestone and this time didn't miss clicking the pic.

I wanted to know whether anyone has serviced/cleaned the fuel pump? Is there any recommended interval for that?
