Hey guys, It's been 3 months since I took delivery of my 5-seater, Sharp CVT. Drove around 12,000 km and completed 3 periodic services as well.

Here's a list of issues I faced with Hector and how the Dealership/Service Center resolved them. This list is not meant to showcase the negatives, but rather educate others on possible niggles that could crop up with your vehicle:

The first issue happened after I got a system update on Hector. After the update, the Weather, and Messages apps stopped working. All I got was a "Activate Headunit first" message every time I opened those apps. This was fixed after the Service guys did a re-install of the infotainment software. They tried resetting and all but didn't work. They finally connected the vehicle remotely to central MG and those technicians suggested a full reinstall. One day of work in the Service Center.

Second issue was the My MG app not updating current values etc. Around 160 km on the ODO, the My MG app stopped updating the vehicle status. None of the remote functions worked, the ODO was frozen at 160 km on the app while the real in-vehicle ODO was at 700 km+. Essentially the vehicle was not sending the updated values to the server. This was an issue with the TBOX. (Telemetry Box?) Anyways it was fixed by the SA disconnecting the Battery and restarting the vehicle. Was an instant fix once the issue was identified but it took them a while to identify why the app and vehicle were out of sync.

The next issue was a faulty indicator/drl that would occasionally stop working or be out of sync with the other indicator. This went unnoticed for quite a while since there was no indication or warning inside the vehicle that the indicator was faulty. I noticed this when the indicator's tick-tick noise was fast/weird and stepped outside to see what was up. I saw the indicator being out of sync with the other one and sometimes flashed between drl and the indicator.

This was due to a fault drl/indicator unit and the SA immediately ordered a new part and was replaced the very next day.

Anyways, this is all that I've faced so far. Nothing disheartening or major. The service team was on point and resolved everything within a day.
