A test mule of the upcoming Tata HBX has been spotted in Trivandrum, Kerala.
While the test car is still under heavy camouflage, there are a few details worth mentioning. The HBX's styling is based on Tata's Impact 2.0 design philosophy. It features a piano black front fascia and a familiar Y-pattern grille. The car has LED daytime running lights with the main headlamp clusters positioned lower down.
At the rear, it gets hexagonal tail lamp clusters with Y-shaped brake lights. This particular test car is also equipped with fog lamps and dual-tone alloy wheels.
On the interior, the HBX gets a floating touchscreen infotainment head unit. Lower variants of the car will get a smaller screen.
The Tata HBX is likely to be offered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 85 BHP and 113 Nm, while higher variants might get a turbocharged 1.2-litre motor. Transmission options might include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.
