More details on the India-bound BMW M2 Competition

BMW is gearing up to launch the M2 Competition in India. Bookings are likely to start soon with a token amount of Rs. 10 lakhs.

The M2 Competition is expected to be offered with adaptive LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels and sports seats with black leather upholstery and contrast stitching. The optional equipment list might include M Sport seats, BMW Apps, Navigation System Professional, Comfort Access System and a 360W Harman Kardon audio system with 12 speakers.

Powering the BMW M2 Competition is a 3.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, in-line 6-cylinder engine producing 405 BHP and 550 Nm of torque. The India-spec car is likely to come with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 0-100 km/h time is quoted at 4.2 seconds and the top speed is limited to 250 km/h.

The BMW M2 Competition is expected to come in 5 colour options - Alpine White, Long Beach Blue, Black Sapphire, Sunset Orange and Hockenheim Silver.
