Mercedes-Benz sells 2,058 units in Q3 2020

Sales are back to pre-Covid levels for the first time since the lockdown.

Mercedes-Benz has released its sales figures for the third quarter of 2020. The carmaker sold 2,058 units during this period.

Mercedes sales rebounded to the pre-Covid level for the first time since the countrywide lockdown. In Q1, the carmaker had sold 2,386 units, which dropped to just 563 units in Q2. A strong MoM growth was registered during the period of July-September, with sales recovery up to 80%.

SUVs continue to remain the choice of most Mercedes buyers. They accounted for 48% of the total September 2020 sales. Models like the GLC, GLE and GLS were the key volume drivers in the SUV segment. The C-Class and E-Class were popular among sedans.

According to the company, 20% of the cars sold in Q3 2020 were purchased through its online sales platforms.
