Mercedes-Benz reveals Auto Expo plans

Even after recording an impressive growth of 32 % in their sales in the year 2013, Mercedes-Benz is showing no signs of relenting. The German auto giant plans to display a range of products at the 2014 Auto Expo, most of which are likely to make their way to the market.

First on the list is the CLA45 AMG, a high performance sedan, which is based on the same platform as the A-Class and B-Class. With a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged, petrol engine that pumps out 360 hp and 450 Nm of torque, this car can do the 0-100 kph sprint in 4.6 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 250 kph. The CLA45 AMG comes with a 7-speed, automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel drive.

Another product that the company plans to display is the Concept GLA SUV, which will take on the BMW X1 and the Audi Q3. Additionally, Mercedes plans to launch the M-Guard, its first SUV guard vehicle. The Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 racer will also be on display.

In order to connect with its fans, the company has launched an initiative through which fans can place requests for a live demo of any car or elements. On-ground promoters equipped with GoPro cameras will fulfil their requests. The demonstrations will be streamed on Mercedes-Benz India’s official YouTube channel. This initiative is powered by twitter #mymerccam. The company is also providing a virtual tour of its pavilion for fans to view at home.

The Mercedes Pavilion will be located in hall no. 15 of the Auto Expo.
