Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB facelift unveiled

The E-Class LWB has a 140 mm longer wheelbase compared to the standard car.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift was unveiled in March this year. Now, its long wheelbase version has been revealed at the Beijing Motor Show.

The E-Class LWB has a 140 mm longer wheelbase compared to the standard car, but in terms of styling, it looks identical to the regular E-Class. As part of the design update, the E-Class LWB gets a reworked grille and headlamp clusters. At the rear, the car gets new tail lights and a dual-tone bumper with chrome exhaust tips.

On the inside, the car comes with dual 10.25-inch screens - one for the MBUX infotainment system and one for the digital instrument cluster. It also gets a new 3-spoke steering wheel with capacitive touch controls.

The E-Class LWB facelift is expected to be launched in India sometime next year. At present, the car is offered with a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 194 BHP / 320 Nm, a 2.0-litre diesel unit with 192 BHP / 400 Nm and a 3.0-litre diesel motor that puts out 282 BHP and 600 Nm. All engines are mated to 9-speed automatic transmissions.
