Mercedes-Benz C 300 AMG Line launched at Rs 69 lakh

Mercedes-Benz has also updated the C 200 and C 200d and GLC models with new features.

Mercedes-Benz has announced the launch of the C 300 AMG Line. Priced at Rs 69 lakh (ex-showroom), the new variant replaces the C 300d AMG Line in the C-Class lineup. It undercuts the BMW M340i by Rs 4 lakh.

As the name suggests, the C 300 is available with the 'AMG Line' package in India. It gets sporty front and rear bumpers and the ‘Night Package’. The car is equipped with a Burmester sound system, augmented reality for navigation, blind spot assist, a 360-degree camera, adaptive high beam assist and keyless go features.

The C 300 AMG Line is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired with a mild-hybrid system and a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The engine produces 254 BHP @ 5,800 rpm and 400 Nm @ 2,000-3,200 rpm, while the integrated starter generator (ISG) provides a boost of 27 BHP for around 30 seconds with the over-boost function.

Mercedes claims the C 300 AMG Line can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.

Mercedes-Benz has also updated the C 200 and C 200d models with new features like heated and ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, fast-charging USB Type-C ports and adaptive high beam assist. In addition to the heated and ventilated front seats, the GLC SUV gets side rear airbags.
