Mercedes-Benz has launched the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S sedan in India at a price of Rs. 1.3 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). This is the fourth AMG car to be launched this year and the tenth AMG product in the Mercedes-Benz India portfolio.

Mercedes has given the C 63 S cosmetic changes to distinguish it from the regular C-Class sedan on which it is based. These include restyled front and rear bumpers, a twin-blade radiator grille, 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, AMG badges and an AMG exhaust system with chrome plated pipes. It has an aluminium bonnet and LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights and LED tail lamps.

On the inside, the C 63 S gets a dashboard finished in artificial leather, contrast top stitching in crystal grey, AMG instrumentation with race timer, AMG steering wheel, AMG sports seats and aluminium pedals. The car is equipped a COMAND Online with 6 DVD changer, Burmester surround sound system with 13 speakers, a 9-channel amplifier and a total output of 590 watts, panoramic sliding roof and a head-up display.

Safety features include adaptive brake lights, pre-safe system, ABS, brake assist, ESP, collision prevention assist, attention assist, seven airbags and more.

The C 63 S is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine that produces 503 BHP @ 5,500-6,250 rpm and 700 Nm of torque @ 1,750-4,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox. Mercedes claims that the car can hit 100 kph from a standstill in 4.

The car has a suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers and AMG Dynamic Select, which allows the driver to choose between five drive modes - comfort, sport, sport +, race and individual. The car also gets an AMG composite braking system.
