Mercedes-AMG A 45 to be launched in India

According to a media report, Mercedes-Benz is planning to launch the AMG A 45 in India. However, the car maker has not revealed the exact timeline of its launch.

The AMG version of the A Class hatchback comes in three variants - AMG A 35 4Matic, AMG A 45 4Matic+ and AMG A 45 S 4Matic+. In India, Mercedes is likely to offer the A 45 S 4Matic+ variant. The car it is expected to be imported as a completely built unit (CBU).

The AMG A 45 S is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 415 BHP and 500 Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Mercedes claims that it can do a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 270 km/h.

The AMG version of the A Class hatchback can be recognized from its Panamericana grille and bodykit, which includes a roof spoiler, diffuser and quad exhausts.
