Maruti Suzuki has announced that it has sold over 5.5 lakh units of the Vitara Brezza since its launch 4.5 years ago.
The Vitara Brezza was launched in March 2016. By February 2017, sales had crossed the 1 lakh mark. In the month of October the same year, sales crossed the 2 lakh unit mark. By July 2018, 3 lakh units of the Brezza had been sold and by February 2019, the 4 lakh mark was crossed. The sales milestone of 5 lakh units was achieved in December 2019.
Earlier this year, Maruti introduced the refreshed Vitara Brezza. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 104 BHP and 138 Nm and comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. A 4-speed automatic transmission is available with the mild-hybrid version.
The carmaker has sold over 32,000 units of the updated Vitara Brezza within just 6 months of its launch. The car has emerged as one of the highest-selling compact SUVs in a segment that has traditionally been dominated by diesel models.
