Maruti Vitara Brezza 4 lakh sales up

Maruti Suzuki has achieved a new sales record. The car maker has sold 4 lakh units of the Vitara Brezza in under 3 years. The Brezza is the best-selling compact SUV in India with a market share of 44.1%.

According to the company, the model has registered a year-to-date sales growth of 7% with average monthly sales of 14,675 units. By July 2018, Maruti had sold 3 lakh units of the Vitara Brezza. The milestone was achieved in just 28 months. 

The Vitara Brezza was launched in March 2016. An Auto Gear Shift (AGS) variant was introduced in May last year along with minor cosmetic updates. The SUV is available with a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 89 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and a torque of 200 Nm @ 1,750 rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.
