Maruti Suzuki S-Cross interiors spied

A couple of days ago, we had reported that Maruti Suzuki has started testing the S-Cross in India, when the car was spotted at Manali in Himachal Pradesh. The car has once again been spotted in the same state and this time, a picture of its interior has been snapped as well.

From the picture, it appears that the interiors of test mule of the S-Cross are quite similar to those we saw on the car displayed at the 2014 Auto Expo earlier this year. The dashboard is black with silver detailing around the AC vents and audio system. The black and silver theme continues all the way down and around the centre console. The instrument cluster also appears to be the same as the one seen on the display car. The tachometer is marked till 6,000 rpm which suggests that the car has a diesel engine. The steering wheel looks like it has been lifted straight from some other Maruti models.

The top-end variant of the S-Cross is expected to get features like LED daytime running lights and 16-inch alloy wheels. However, Maruti could leave out the Suzuki AllGrip all-wheel drive system which is available on the car in international markets, and use a two-wheel drive setup to keep the price of the vehicle down.

The S-Cross is expected to be powered by a 1.6-litre, diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
