Maruti Suzuki will soon shift the Ciaz to its NEXA dealership chain. The sedan is currently sold through the regular Maruti Suzuki dealership network. The company has already started using NEXA-like badging on the Ciaz, pointing towards a nearing switch. Ahead of the official dealer network changeover, the variant line-up of the NEXA-based Ciaz has been leaked.
The Ciaz will continue to be offered with the same 1.3-litre diesel and 1.4-litre petrol engine options. While both engines will come with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, the petrol model will also be available with a 4-speed automatic gearbox. No engine-related change will be made.
Once the sedan is shifted to the NEXA chain, it will be available in 5 trim levels. These include the 4 regular NEXA variants i.e. Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha, and a new S (Sport) variant. The S variant will be the top-end model and is likely to come with a body kit similar to that of the Ciaz RS variant that was sold through regular Maruti dealerships. All 5 trims will be available with the petrol MT and diesel MT setup, while customers opting for the Ciaz petrol AT will be limited to just 3 trim choices - Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Additionally, there might also be a taxi variant on offer, aimed at the commercial vehicle segment.
