Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift caught testing

Last week, spy images of some Maruti Suzuki Ciaz test mules had surfaced on the internet. Now, a new set of spy images of the car, which is believed to be facelifted version of the sedan, has appeared.

The updated Ciaz first appeared on the scene at the 2017 Chengdu Motor Show. For the Chinese market, the car gets a larger front grille, revised front bumpers and fog lamp pods among other updates. The India-spec version is likely to receive similar updates.

The spy images indicate that the Ciaz facelift is likely to get new headlights and tail lights along with revised bumpers and a re-profiled boot lid, although the same cannot be confirmed due to the heavy camouflage on the test mule. Additionally, the car is likely to get a redesigned set of alloy wheels. On the inside, the Ciaz is likely to get black interiors and a touchscreen infotainment system.

While there is no information available about the engines that will power the Ciaz yet, it is rumoured that Maruti is expected to offer the car with a new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine in addition to the 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder petrol.
