According to BrandZ, Maruti Suzuki is among the top ten auto brands in the world. The Indian carmaker was valued at US$ 6,375 million, putting it in ninth place, ahead of Volkswagen, which was valued at US$ 5,986 million.
Maruti Suzuki made it into the top 10 list because of its Nexa dealership chain, which was created to cater to the growing middle class and younger customers in India. These dealerships are claimed to offer premium sales and service experience to customers of Maruti's mass segment products.
Toyota is ranked No. 1 with a brand value of US$ 29,987 million. While Mercedes-Benz is in second place, BMW is in third with brand values of US$ 25,684 million and US$ 25,624 million respectively. Ford is the highest placed American car brand with a brand value of US$ 12,742 million followed by Honda, Nissan and Audi. In eighth place, Tesla is the only electric car maker that features in the top 10 list. Its brand value has risen by 60% since the end of 2017.
