Maruti Suzuki will be launching 4 new cars in India during the next fiscal, i.e. April 2017 - March 2018. These will include 2 new models and 2 updates. This information was revealed by the company's Executive Director (Marketing & Sales) - Mr. R S Kalsi, during the ongoing Geneva Motor Show.
Maruti has been introducing 2 new models every fiscal from the past few years. This has helped the company to maintain a fresh product portfolio and thus strengthen its hold on the Indian passenger car market. In 2015, the company had announced plans to bring 15 new models in India in the next 5 years, out of which 8 models have already been introduced.
While Mr. Kalsi didn't disclose specific model details of the upcoming cars, speculations suggest that the 2 new models will include the next-gen Swift and Dzire twins, while the Ciaz & S-Cross facelifts will likely be the 2 upcoming updated carlines.
